Ronald Owen Blaize, 61, of Lancaster, PA, died Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Lancaster Regional Hospital in Lancaster, PA. Born in Evansville, IN, he was the son of the late John H. Blaize and Julia Robertson Blaize of Evansville, IN.
Ronald graduated from Central High School in Evansville, IN. He was employed by Bulova/L3 for over 25 years as a Metallurgist working in military explosives and more recently at Brethren Village as a CNA. He attended Vision of Hope Church M.C.C. and was a member of the Pride Committee.
Ronald enjoyed watching football and traveling and had hoped to move back to Evansville, IN with his mother. He was very personable, friendly and helpful to everyone.
Ronald is survived by his mother, Julia Blaize of Evansville, IN; two brothers, Eddie (Jama) Blaize of Henderson, KY, David (Rosie) Blaize of Evansville, IN; and two sisters, Susie Chase and Carol Travers (Steve), both of Evansville, IN; and many aunts and uncles who loved spending time with him at annual camping reunions. He had a son, Dilly Blaize.
Family and friends are invited to Ronald's Memorial Gathering and Viewing at The Groffs Family Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 528 W. Orange St. (at the corner of Orange & Pine Sts.) Lancaster, PA, from 4:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 30, 2011. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Vision of Hope Church M.C.C., 130 E. Main Street, Mountville, PA on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Deb Coggins officiating. Interment in Sunset Memorial Park, Evansville, IN. Memorials may be made in Ronald's name to Vision of Hope Church, 130 E. Main Street, Mountville, PA 17554.
