Dorothy Lucille Calloway, 75, of Lancaster, PA, died Friday, March 7, 2014 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Greensboro, NC, she was the daughter of the late Sudly and Lessie Dingle McDonald. Dorothy was wife of the late Harper Calloway who died in 1988 and the late Franklin Hardy Nunn who died in 1980.
Jere H. Sweigart of Columbia joined his wife, Patricia K. Sweigart, in eternal rest on Thursday, March 6, 2013. Born in Elizabethtown, he was the son of Henry W. Sweigart and Blanche L. Sweigart (nee Zwally). Jere was the last of his immediate family. Surviving are stepsons, Robert D. Bowers, Jr. and Richard J. Bowers. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John H. Sweigart.
John O. Fritz, Sr., 98, of Columbia, passed away at the Susquehanna Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Columbia on Friday, March 7, 2014. He was the husband of the late Minnie L. Fritz who died June 6, 1990. Born October 5, 1915 in Columbia; he was the son of the late John and Meena Fritz. His last employment was at the former Tidy Products, Columbia, and afterword was a plumber by trade. He enjoyed having model trains in his basement with his children, and enjoyed car rides to the mountains and watching trains along the way.
Mary Jane (Herr) Oster, 90, formerly of Seymour St., Lancaster, died on March 3, 2014. She was married to the late Paul H. Oster, who died in 2002. Earlier in life, Mary Jane worked as a lunchroom aide for the SDL at Price Elementary School.
Patricia “Pat” Boggs, 84, formerly of Sinking Spring, died March 6, 2014, in Ephrata Manor. Born in Altoona, a daughter of Alfred E. and Viola E. (Lantz) Hupert, her husband, S. Paul Boggs, died June 6, 2011.
