Barbara A. Hollingsworth, 71, of Columbia, passed away early Saturday morning at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. She was the wife of William L. Hollingsworth whom she married on January 19, 1963. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Anna Mary Stoner Herr. She retired from the Mennonite Home where she worked many years as a nurse's aide.
Edward C. Trafford, 62, of Manheim went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Richard G. and Lucille E. Cannon Trafford. He was the loving husband of Susan I. Landis Trafford, and they would have celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary in June of this year.
Elizabeth S. "Lil" Reese, age 85, of 675 Willow Valley Square, Lancaster, PA, formerly of Lake Hopatcong, NJ, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014, at her residence in The Glen at Willow Valley, Lancaster, PA.
Ethel Musser Rutt, 100, passed away Friday, April 18, 2014, at Willow Valley Retirement Community. She was the wife of the late Jacob Henry Rutt. Ethel was born on March 12, 1914, to Harry Hake Musser and Minnie Herr Musser in Rapho Township.
Mary Elizabeth Child, 90, formerly of Manor Township and more recently of Pickering Manor Home in Newtown, met the Lord Friday, April 18, 2014, at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. Born in New Freedom, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Frances Stump Schuppert. Mary's husband of 16 years, Russell E. Child, died in 1973.
Paul M. Scotten, Sr., 66, of Quarryville, entered into rest on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community. Born in Henry County, Indiana, he was a son of the late Donald R. and Mary L. (McLeod) Scotten. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Carol (Ferguson) Scotten.
Robert L. "Shorty" Howe, 81, of Lititz passed away at home on Friday, April 18, 2014. Born in Lancaster County, he was the son of the late Nathan and Sara Elmer Howe. He was the husband of Sandra L. Coffman Howe.
Ruth Ann Nussbaum, 61, Denver, died at home April 20, 2014. Born in Denver, a daughter of Emory R. and Kathryn M. (Fry) Hirneisen, she was the wife of Earl J. Nussbaum for 36 years. She graduated in 1970 from Cocalico HS. An active member of Muddy Creek Lutheran Church, she taught Sunday School, was a youth group advisor and served with social ministries. Ruth Ann worked for Sperry New Holland, was a 25-year 4-H leader and loved cooking and crafts.
