A New Holland man died when his vehicle struck a PPL truck in a construction zone and crashed in the 100 block of East Main Street in Leola about 12:37 a.m. Saturday, East Lampeter Township police said.
Officers responding to the report of an accident involving injuries and an overturned vehicle found Cory V. Santiago, 25, the vehicle's single occupant, dead at the scene, police said.
Police said he had not been wearing a seatbelt.
East Main Street in Leola was closed until about 4:30 a.m.
Bareville Fire Department assisted police at the scene.
Sgt. Brian Cloonan said there were two PPL trucks at the scene as part of a project to replace a pole from an accident the day before. There was signage for a work zone, he said.
Cloonan said Santiago's vehicle made contact with a PPL truck before overturning.
There were no other injuries.
