Susquehanna Bank has hired Keith B. McCutcheon Jr. and Beverly A. Wise as senior vice presidents.

McCutcheon has been named senior vice president and chief investment officer.

Most recently he was senior vice president for investment and funding manager at Webster Financial.

McCutcheon, of Wilmington, Del., holds a bachelor's degree from Dickinson College and an MBA degree from American University.

Wise has been named senior vice president and chief human resources officer.

Most recently she was vice president of corporate development for Warfel Construction.

Wise, of Lancaster, holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Penn State University.

Meadia Heights Golf Club has hired Peter S. Kowalinski as general manager and PGA head professional.

Kowalinski, of Browns-town, is a Millersville University graduate who most recently was head professional and general manager at LedgeRock Golf Club in Mohnton.

Before that, he was an assistant professional at Lancaster Host Resort, Meadia Heights, the Concord Country Club in West Chester and Pine Valley Golf Club in New Jersey.

Warfel Construction has promoted Brett P. Calabretta to vice president of pre-construction.

Calabretta, of Lancaster, joined Warfel in 2005. Most recently he was a senior project manager.

A Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP), Calabretta has a bachelor's degree from Penn State University and an MBA degree from York College of Pennsylvania.

Landis Homes has appointed four new members to its board of directors and two new officers.

The new officers are vice chairman, Glen Moffett, vice president and general counsel for Wellspan Health of York; and secretary, Dr. Daniel D. Mast, who specializes in geriatric and internal medicine.

The new directors are Carol Shenk Bornman, formerly employed by Philhaven; Jonathan E. Hollinger, chief executive officer of Excentia; Marian G. Leaman, retired co-founder of Mennonite Marriage Encounter; and Fred T. Sargent, retired from the accounting and finance field.

Christopher M. Patterson has opened his own criminal defense law practice at 134 N. Lime St.

Patterson, of Manheim Township, had been a partner at Patterson & Cody and its predecessor firms for about 20 years.

He specializes in defense of individuals charged with felony and misdemeanor crimes, DUI and other traffic offenses.

Patterson is a graduate of McCaskey High School, the University of Notre Dame and the University of Baltimore School of Law.

National Penn Bancshares has promoted Michael J. Hughes to senior executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Hughes, of Lancaster, previously was group executive vice president and CFO. Hired in 2009, he has more than 30 years experience in financial services and investment banking.

Hughes is a Penn State University graduate.

Hospice & Community Care, formerly Hospice of Lancaster County, has named three new members to its board of directors for 2013.

They are Dr. Kevin H. Mosser, executive vice president and chief operating officer of WellSpan Health; Debra A. Bradley, vice president for ambulatory services of WellSpan Health; and Barbara O. Breneman, assistant vice president of Susquehanna Bancshares.

S. Andrew Kavanaugh II has earned the certified financial planner designation from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. Kavanaugh, of Lancaster, is vice president of wealth management at Ambassador Advisors.

Margie Goshert has earned the Associate in Commercial Underwriting designation from the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters.

Goshert, of Ephrata, is an underwriting and rating coordinator at Horst Insurance, where she has worked since 2000.
