Philip J. Herrman

Philip J. Herrman, 75, Lancaster, passed away at the Bob Fryer Family Inpatient Center, Mount Joy, on Thursday, February 7, 2013. Born in Mt. Vernon, OH and raised in Newark, OH, he was the son of Clara Kepler Herrman, Newark, OH and the late Harold P. Herrman. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son Michael, daughter-in-law Coletta and companion, Peggy Westbrook. Philip graduated from parochial schools in Ohio and was a graduate of the University of Dayton with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Philip served as a First Lieutenant in the US Army during the Berlin Wall crisis in Mannheim, Germany. He worked for the Federal Mogul Corp. for 30 years; his last position being plant manager for the Lancaster/Lititz operations. Philip also spent 15 years in commercial real estate. He was a member for 40 years of BPOE Lodge #134 of the Elks, Lancaster.Private services at the convenience of the family. Please omit flowers.
