Michael J. Nemith
Michael Julius Nemith, 82, of Lancaster, passed peacefully of natural causes at home on February 3, 2013, surrounded by his loving wife of 61 years, Nancy J. Hippey Nemith, and loving family.Michael was born September 15, 1930 in Dunmore, PA, son of the late Michael and Cathrine Nemith. Survived by sister, Shirley Rineer, he was preceded in death by sister, Katherine Stumpf.He served in the U.S. Army as Sergeant from 1948 to 1955.He was a master carpenter, enjoyed doing puzzles and crafts in his retirement years, and was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church.Survived by his loving wife, Nancy; daughter, Rose Marie (James) Barnhart; son, Rick Nemith (Brenda); son, Steven Nemith (Deb); 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren.Amemorial service will be held 11 A.M. Saturday, February 16, 2013, at St. John's Episcopal Church, 321 West Chestnut St., Lancaster, PA 17603. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mr. Nemith's memory to Hospice & Community Care, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
