Blogging mom signing book
Motherhood might not be everything a woman imagines or hopes for, and a mom may be not just disappointed but desperate.
"Desperate: Hope for the Mom Who Needs to Breathe" is the title of Sarah Mae's and Sally Clarkson's new book.
It is billed as " the story of one young mother's honest account of the desperate feelings experienced in motherhood and one experienced mentor's realistic and gentle exhortations that were forged in the trenches of raising her own four children."
A wife and mother of three, Sarah Mae is a Lititz resident who blogs at sarahmae.com not using her surname. She is also one of the Christian Broadcasting Network's "Six Women Leaders to Follow on Twitter." She wrote the best-selling e-book "31 Days to Clean: Having a Martha House the Mary Way." Clarkson, author of "The Ministry of Motherhood," is a co-founder of Whole Heart Ministries, which encourages and equips Christian parents.
Their book is for those "who love their children to the depths of their souls but who have also curled up under their covers, fighting back tears, and begging God for help ...who have ever felt like all the 'experts' have clearly never had a child like theirs ... who ever felt lost and alone in motherhood."
The 240-page paperback from Thomas Nelson is priced at $15.99.
Sarah Mae will sign the book from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 1700-H Fruitville Pike.
