Union Community Bank has hired Peter Weachter as vice president and commercial loan officer, and Adnan Pasic as assistant vice president and commercial loan officer.

Weachter most recently was vice president and business sales officer for Wells Fargo. The U.S. Army veteran is a Warwick High School graduate. A Dallastown resident, he is moving to Lititz.

Pasic, of Lancaster, most recently worked in the commercial loan department at Integrity Bank. Pasic is a graduate of Penn State University and Hempfield High School.

Casey King has founded King Conservation Group, specializing in home energy assessments and energy efficiency contracting.

King, of Lancaster, holds a bachelor's degree from Elizabethtown College and a master's degree from Appalachian State University.

King most recently was employed by ComfortHome as a program/building services manager.

National Penn Bank has hired Todd A. Ruth as an officer and a commercial relationship manager in its Lancaster region.

Ruth, of Manheim, is an Alvernia College graduate. Most recently he was a senior credit analyst at Centric Bank.

Lancaster Day Care Center has hired Demetrius Lewis as fiscal and operations manager.

Lewis, of Lancaster, most recently was a field auditor for Datascan. He holds a bachelor's degree from Millersville University and an MBA degree from DeVry University.

McDonald at Law has hired Kristine Bender as office manager.

Bender, of Lancaster, has 12 years of management experience. She previously was employed by Haight, Brown & Bonesteel in Santa Monica, Calif.

Bender is a graduate of Arizona State University.

The Building Industry Association of Lancaster County has named W. Christopher Labs, owner of Kitchen Design Specialists, its president for 2013.

Other officers named were vice president, Philip Eby of Eby Exteriors; associate vice president, Ted Risser of Lezzer Lumber; secretary, Rick Jackson of ELA Group; treasurer, Scott Frick of Bertz, Hess, & Co.; and immediate past president, Scott Provanzo of Heartland Builders.

Named builder directors were Joe Duff of Duff Builders; Greg Miller of Merv Miller Builder; Clair Weaver of Landmark Homes; Chad Stoltzfus of EGStoltzfus Homes; and Daniel Siegrist of Custom Home Group.

Named associate directors were Lori Bentley of Douple Agency; Betty Marley of G.R. Mitchell; David Palm of Jemson Cabinetry; and Mark Stanley of Hartman Underhill & Brubaker.

Tybec Energy Management Specialists has hired Doug Snyder as chief financial officer.

Snyder, of Lititz, has more than 20 years of experience in the energy industry, including serving as an industrial and commercial sales representative at UGI Energy.

He is a Penn State University graduate.

JPL has promoted Andy Kintzi to production supervisor.

Kintzi, of Mount Joy, joined JPL in 2007, becoming a senior video editor. He is a University of Richmond graduate.

The HACC Foundation has appointed Stephen Staman to its board of directors for a three-year term. Staman is vice president and senior commercial loan officer at Metro Bank.

John A. Gainer has earned the Certified Legal Video Specialist designation from the National Court Reporters Association. Gainer, of Mount Joy, owns Legal Pad Video.
