Trevor T. Byrne, Pequea, Troop 393

Trevor T. Byrne, 16, of Pequea, was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout at a Court of Honor held Dec. 15 at Colemanville United Methodist Church, Conestoga.

Trevor is the son of Thomas and Debra Byrne. He is a junior at Penn Manor High School, where he is a member of the swim team. Trevor volunteered at Lancaster General Hospital over the summer and works a part-time job as a lifeguard at the Lampeter YMCA. He attends Colemanville United Methodist church, where he participates in youth group and summer mission trips.

Trevor started in scouting as a Tiger Scout in Cub Pack 101 in Holtwood in 2002. He earned the Arrow of Light as a Cub Scout. Since becoming a Boy Scout in 2007 with Troop 393, Trevor has participated in camping trips to Camp Tuckahoe, Camp Horseshoe and the Bashore Scout Reservation. He served as assistant patrol leader, senior patrol leader, chaplain's aide, librarian and scribe. Trevor was elected to the Order of the Arrow in 2010.

For his Eagle Scout Project, Trevor organized the planning and construction of an outdoor prayer sanctuary at Colemanville Church.n
