Musselman BaerHarold Musselman Baer went to be with the Lord on February 1, 2013. Harold was born July 24, 1928 on a tobacco farm in Salunga, Pennsylvania. Although Harold was a hard worker, he was known to skip out of the field to play baseball. Harold's enthusiasm for a good burger garnered him the nickname Wimpy. He attended Bluffton Mennonite College in Ohio. He worked for 40 years on the railroad where he was affectionately known as Yogi Baer. He coached little league baseball for the Hempfield Sertoma, was a member of Indian Hannah Hunting Camp, was president of the Lancaster Hiking Club and actively involved with the Grand Square Dancing Club of Lancaster with his friend Ethel Lueders. Harold loved the Lord, good food, cooking, biking, camping, canoeing and going to the beach with family. Harold was an avid outdoor enthusiast. He went white water canoeing for 342 miles on the George River in Quebec. He was a Phillies fan and loved to attend Penn State football games with friends. Harold enjoyed cooking for the Mount Joy Church of God Seniors. Harold was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Harold's life was a reflection of God's goodness and grace.Harold was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Emma Musselman Baer, his brother, Orie Baer and his sister Emma DeMuth. Harold will be lovingly missed by his sister, Elizabeth Conway, his son Douglas Baer & wife Evelyn, his son David Baer & wife Esther and his daughter, Barbara Baer & husband Arthur G. Mellinger III and his seven grandchildren, Christopher Baer & wife Barbara, Lisa Baer & husband Todd Hoch, Kevin Baer, Benjamin Baer, Sarah Baer and Morgan Mellinger and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church at 2151 Oregon Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601 on Monday, February 4, 2013 at 4:30pm. Friends are invited to greet the family at 3:30pm and then stay for a light dinner after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church.Arrangements by the Clyde W.
