Hazel M. Freels
Hazel M. Freels, 84, of Manheim, entered heaven peacefully on Thursday, January 31, 2013. Born in Conoy Township, she was the daughter of the late Luella Bowers. Hazel is the wife of John R. Freels Sr. with whom she celebrated 59 years of marriage this past September 26th. Hazel was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Lemoyne where she taught Sunday school. She also was a Brownie Leader, an avid Phillies fan and enjoyed bird watching, camping, playing cards, listening to music, and most of all spending time with her family. Surviving in addition to her husband John R. Freels Sr. are three children, Linda Spotts wife of Edward of Ephrata, Peggy Eyler wife of Myrten of Bowie, MD, and John Freels Jr. husband of Sherry of Manheim. Also surviving are six grandchildren. A Funeral Service honoring Hazel?s Life will be held at the Sheetz Funeral Home, Inc., 16 E. Main Street, Mount Joy on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 11 A.M. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home before the service from 10 to 11 A.M. Interment will follow at Goods Mennonite Cemetery, Conoy Twp.
