Hershey needs some kisses By Laura Vinroe, Humane League of Lancaster County
Hershey is a beautiful black kitty with a gentle personality. This 1-year-old sweetie is easy company to keep.
Rub her head and Hershey's beautiful green eyes drop; she'll let out a low rumble of a purr as she indulges in your gentle touch.
It won't take long before she rolls on her side so you can reach all the right spots.
In her new home, Hershey looks forward to making her claim on a cozy perch where she can observe the world around her. She lives with several feline roommates at the shelter, but it's human love this sweet girl desires. Welcome Hershey into your life and she will make your home the sweetest place on earth.
Hershey is available to meet potential adopters from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at Petco, 2350 Lincoln Highway East. Many of our available animals at Humane League of Lancaster County, 2195 Lincoln Highway East, can also be viewed online at humaneleague.com. Regular shelter hours are 3-8 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and noon to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
The shelter is closed Wednesday and Sunday. Call the league at 393-6551.
From Jan. 15-21, the league received 10 dogs and 28 cats. Twenty-two dogs and 23 cats were adopted; two stray cats were reclaimed by their owners. One cat was transferred to another rescue organization. Previously featured cat Moose has been adopted.
February is pet dental month! If your furry friend is suffering from persistent bad breath, it may be a sign of underlying disease.
Proper pet dental care starts with a trip to the vet for an exam. During the coming month, many vets are offering discounts for dental cleaning.
