Barry Neil Johnson
Barry Neil Johnson, 59, of Lancaster, went home to be with the Lord the morning of January 24, 2013 following a long illness. Barry was born January 4, 1954 in Monessen, PA, son of the late Laurens and Alice (Hill) Johnson.He is survived by his wife, Beverly (Martin) Johnson, and stepson, Daniel Tyler Martin of Lancaster; son, Marcus Mitchell of Columbia, PA; 7 grandchildren; and his brother, Elliott Johnson of Pittsburgh. An accomplished singer and guitarist, Barry played with numerous bands, recording several albums, and for 14 years played on the worship band at the Worship Center where he was a member. Prior to his illness, he worked for over a decade at Willow Valley Retirement Community.A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 29, at 2 p.m. at the Worship Center, 2384 New Holland Pike, Lancaster.
