DISORDERLY CONDUCT DRUG CHARGES FIRE:
LANCASTER: Jennifer Melendez, 24, of York, was involved in a disturbance in front of The Village nightclub at 205 N. Christian St. and then at her vehicle at East Chestnut and North Duke streets early Saturday, police said. She yelled at another female, and then backed her vehicle into city police Sgt. Gary McCrady, knocking him to the pavement. No injuries were reported. Melendez was arrested, cited and later released.
LANCASTER: Gregory C. Shuler, 36, of the 600 block of High Street, was stopped for having an open container in the first block of West Farnum Street Sunday and gave an officer a false name, city police said. He faces charges of public drunkenness, false identification to law enforcement and possession of a small amount of marijuana.
UPPER LEACOCK TWP: A fire that destroyed or damaged six office-style trailers in Upper Leacock Township on Wednesday night has been ruled accidental. Trooper Dustin Shireman, a state police fire marshal, said workers had been disassembling trailers with a cutting torch at Mobile Modular Express, 64 Hess Ave. A portion of a dismantled trailer was set down on the ground and smoldered. Winds later fanned the smoldering material into flames. Damage was estimated at $20,000, Shireman said Thursday.
