Gala celebrates '70s
Feeling groovy? The Elizabethtown Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its Elizabethtown Gala, themed "Peace, Love and the 1970s," Friday, 6-9 p.m. in the Susquehanna and Swatara rooms at Elizabethtown College.
Food stations will feature 1970s cuisine, including tie-dyed deviled eggs, swingin' Swedish meatballs, cheese fondue, stuffed mushrooms with crab meat, salad, hippie chicken, mashed potatoes with groovy gravy, Watergate salad, dessert and more.
The evening begins with a networking and cocktail reception. A silent and live auction, featuring products and services donated by Elizabethtown area businesses and individuals, will be held. Proceeds will benefit the Elizabethtown Area Chamber of Commerce for community development programs.
Guests are encouraged to wear casual, 1970s attire.
Tickets can be purchased individually or for tables of eight. Cost is $50 for members, $55 for nonmembers. Call 361-7188 or email email@example.com.
