Stop busing school students
TO THE EDITORS:
Our roads are overcrowded with school buses. It's not a law in Pennsylvania, nor is it a mandate that the children need to be bused.
Every school district has its own buses. They crisscross on our highways, roads and avenues. Private schools, public schools, Christian schools (who have I forgotten?).
School districts can save millions of dollars by eliminating this unnecessary "entitlement."
Let's start with Conestoga Valley, the school district I reside in.
East Lampeter Township
(Editors' note: Pennsylvania law does not require a school district to provide transportation to its students but does require the district to ensure transportation for special needs students.)
