Mary Ann Crawford
Mary Ann Crawford, 78, of Lancaster, passed away on Tuesday evening at the Manorcare Health Services of Lancaster where she had been a guest since January. Mary Ann was the daughter of the late Ross H. Carnathan Sr. and J. Agatha Schwarz Carnathan Christie.A graduate of Solanco High, she had worked at one time for Hubley Manufacturing until it closed and then Servomation Foods for 28 years; more recently she worked as a service station attendant for the Sunoco station on Old Philadelphia Pike and Lincoln Highway East from 1996 until July 2010. Mary Ann was a huge fan club member of Bill Anderson, the country western singer, and attended several concerts in Nashville. She also enjoyed traveling to the local casinos and going to Rehoboth Beach with her friends, Mel and Gloria Brandt. Most of all, she loved all animals, especially her dogs.Mary Ann will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Verna C., wife of Robert C. Trimble of Willow Street; her brother, Ross H., Jr., husband of Geraldine W. Carnathan of Ronks; four nieces and nephews, seven great nieces and nephews and a great great niece.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her Life Celebration Service at Fred F. Groff Inc., 234 W. Orange St., Lancaster, PA on Saturday at 11:30 AM with Pastor Chadd Eme officiating. Interment will be held at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Fred F. Groff Inc. on Saturday from 10:30 AM until the time of services.
