M. Ruth Shenk
M. Ruth (Sinclair) Shenk, 88, of Manor Township, died on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at home. She was the wife of the late B. Glenn Shenk for forty-seven years at the time of his death in 1986.Ruth had retired as a group leader from the former Hamilton Watch Company after forty-two years.Born on March 25, 1924, in Drumore Township, she was the daughter of late James Cameron and Mary Margaret (Knouse) Sinclair. Ruth was a long-time, active member of Grace United Methodist Church, Millersville, where she worked at the Mission Thrift Shop. She was a member of the Lancaster County Garden Club. Ruth was a graduate of Drumore High School and loved her kitties, Bibby and Fluffy. She enjoyed golfing up until her late 70?s, bowling, gardening, bird watching, traveling with Glenn and never missed doing the morning crossword puzzle in the paper. In earlier years, she did craft shows with her niece, Ruth, at her home. She also enjoyed baking and was known for her Christmas cookies. Surviving is one sister, Ellen C. Lipp, of Quarryville and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Bob, Luther, Joe, Paul and Carl Sinclair.The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to Hospice & Community Care and Comfort Keepers for their care and love shown to Ruth during her final days.Funeral Services will be held at the Grace United Methodist Church, 163 West Frederick Street, Millersville, PA 17551 on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 10 AM (Viewing
