Body discovered near Park City: ruled a suicide BY LARRY ALEXANDER, and JENNIFER TODD, Staff Writers
A body found hanging in a tree near Park City Center Wednesday afternoon has been identified as that of a 41-year-old Lancaster city man
Officials did not release the name of the deceased Wednesday night.
Lancaster County Coroner Dr. Stephen Diamantoni said the death has been ruled a suicide.
"Based on an investigation of his whereabouts in the last few days -- what he did, who he called -- we feel confident in making the ruling," the coroner said Wednesday night.
An external examination of the body was performed but an autopsy is not planned, Diamantoni added.
The man's body was found hanging in the treeline by the railroad tracks outside the Boscov's store.
Diamantoni said he believed it was discovered by mall security.
Responders from Manheim Township police and fire units were at the scene. A portion of the roadway around the retail center was closed while police investigated and monitored recovery of the body.
