TO THE EDITORS:

I am a Lancaster native and live within a block of the recent shooting of the young mother of two, and I am concerned for the safety of myself and neighbors.

This mother's children will now grow up without their mom and there is still a killer on the loose. Once again, young, innocent lives are taken and destroyed at the hands of criminals.

Why has no one stepped forward with information related to this murder? Why are there not enough police officers to investigate and find the perpetrator? Why are cameras not used more in Lancaster city and county?

There are there so many murders that remain unsolved? I hope and pray this isn't another one. God gives us children and grandchildren to love and protect, and they are violently and brutally destroyed by guns, knives, weapons and hands.

So, I ask and beg, when is this going to stop? And when will we get enough help to protect our families?
