·WORKSHOPS: Local quilt expert Gloria Mast will lead workshops examining select pieces of the Esprit Amish quilt collection at LancasterHistory.org on the Square, 4 W. King St., on Thursday and Friday from noon to 1 p.m.
Mast is an art historian and has worked with the Esprit Collection before, having been the guest curator for the Heritage Center of Lancaster County's exhibit "The Grid: Amish Quilts, Esprit Clothing, and Postmodern Design." During each workshop, she will provide a look at select pieces of the collection.
Cost is $16 for American Quilter's Society members and $20 for non-members. For reservations, call 392-4633.
LancasterHistory.org's downtown location is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. During the week of the AQS convention, several of the Esprit Collection quilts will be on exhibit and members of the public are invited to visit the bookstore and gallery to see them. Mast will be available all day Friday to talk to visitors and answer questions.
·SURVIVOR DAY: A Breast Cancer Survivor Day will be held Saturday, March 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Manheim Township Public Library, 595 Granite Run Drive.
Presented by the Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley, the program is free. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

·SPAGHETTI DINNER: The Ephrata Sertoma Club is sponsoring an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner and auction on Saturday, March 23, at Akron United Zion Church's fellowship hall, 29 S. 10th St., Akron.
