Musical Art Society musicale Sunday
Lancaster's Musical Art Society will present a "Spring Musicale" for the public Sunday at 3 p.m. at Salem United Church of Christ, 2312 Marietta Ave.
Performers Adrianna and Camilla Yoder will play three oboe duets: "Pastoral," by Robert Hinchcliffe; "Rondo," from the "Trois Duos Concertante for Two Oboes" by W. Ferling; and "Pepusch" by Don Owen.
Also on the program will be Kathy Horein and Janet Rawleigh, playing oboe, and Nancy Brommer, playing English horn.
They will perform "Sudobaroque" by Nancy Brommer, "Variations on "Waltzing Matilda'" by Graham Powning, and "Pennsylvania Trio" by Nancy Brommer.
Also, Terry Millard will present a clarinet solo, "Scherzo in C minor" by Paul Koepke, and two compositions on the alto saxophone: "Claire de Lune" by Claude Debussy; and "The Duchess" by Richard H. "Duke" Rehl.
Millard will be accompanied by pianist Ann Gecelosky.
Featured pianists will be: Andrew Rajaratnam, playing "Sarabande d'jour" by Rollin; and Sara Dickenson, performing "Toccata in D Minor BWV 565" by J.F. Bach, "Prelude for Left Hand Alone op.9 #1" by Alexander Scriabin and the 18th Variation from "Rhapsodie On a Theme of Paganini" by Rachmaninoff.
Refreshments will be served after the program, and an offering will be taken.
