Church World Service plans breakfast
Church World Service will hold a community breakfast Friday, April 5, to thank volunteers and partners who've welcomed refugee and immigrant families to Lancaster.
The breakfast, which begins at 8 a.m at Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Road, will showcase the inspiring stories of refugees and the work of volunteers.
The event is open to the public. Register online at cwslancaster.eventbrite.com.
In the past fiscal year, CWS/Lancaster resettled 270 refugees and 135 Cuban/Haitian entrants. The refugees came from many countries, including Bhutan, Burma, Iraq, Somalia, Sudan and Eritrea.
