The festival, which runs through Saturday at The Ware Center, 42 N. Prince St., will feature theater, film, music and dance events.
An official kickoff today at 6 p.m. will feature a performance by local recording artist Naiby Perez and artwork by Latino students. The presentation is free and open to the public. Refreshments and Latino delicacies will be served.
Additional events taking place during the festival include a performance by Latin jazz ensemble Braziliance and percussionist Hector Rosado; and a presentation of "Cuentos de Arbol" (Tree Tales), a bilingual musical that uses universal stories told in the oral tradition.
