Richard Thomas Radcliffe
RadcliffeRichard Thomas Radcliffe, 84, of Venice, FL, passed away March 4, at Venice Regional Medical Center. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, he graduated from Stoney Brook, Long Island NY, and Tarkio College, Tarkio, Missouri. He served in the United States Army in the occupation forces in Japan and the Korean War. He worked in the wiring and cable industry, retiring as a regional manager from Tri-state Electrical Supply Company in York, Pennsylvania.He was the son of the late Dr. Warren A. and Bess Radcliffe. He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Patricia Warfield; three sons, John (Gretchen) of Waynesboro, PA, Tom (Missy) of Clarksville, MD, Chris (Annette) of Ephrata, PA, and two daughters, Karen of Venice, FL and Leslie of Sarasota, FL, nine beautiful grandchildren and two handsome great-grandsons. He is also survived by his brothers, Warren A. Radcliffe (Pat) of Keene Valley, NY, and John D. Radcliffe (Olivia) of Baltimore, MD, and three nieces.A resident of Venice since 1993, he was a member of Venice Presbyterian Church, and former member of the Jacaranda West Country Club. The service will be held at Venice Presbyterian Church, Venice, FL, March 16, 2013 at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association and/or St Jude?s Children?s Hospital.
