Ban trapping in Pennsylvania
TO THE EDITORS:
I read with great disdain and much sorrow the article on the youth trapper.
It was a horrendous a story. Why would this boy do this to poor innocent animals? If he doesn't do this for the money, why does he do it? Would he like to be caught in a trap or cage and then be killed when he has been discovered after who knows how long being trapped?
If he wants to spend time with his father, why not go for walks together in the woods and enjoy the live animals and birds before they are all gone.
If you feel the same as I do that trapping these defenseless animals is cruel and inhumane, write to the Pa. Game Commission Board of Commissioners, 2001 Elmerton Ave., Harrisburg, 17110 to get trapping banned in Pennsylvania.
Also, write to your state representative and ask them to propose legislation to ban trapping in Pennsylvania.
The animals thank you.
