LCHS teen project commended
TO THE EDITORS:
I read the Feb. 9 article about Lancaster Catholic High School students' project, "Building Hope." I'd like to commend those teens for working to create a safe, wholesome and helpful respite for homeless/runaway teens.
Being a teen myself and fortunate to have a stable home, I can only imagine how sad it must be not to have that.
It's my hope that these LCHS students succeed in their efforts to reach out to their needy peers. That's a very noble goal and a great example -- we should all reach out to the less fortunate.
I also wish the LCHS students the best of luck in the second phase of the project: enlisting other agencies and people to find shelter for the transient teens. Shelter is particularly important this time of year.
I hope this project is a big success.
