Lancaster police were investigating a shooting late Wednesday night that happened in the 400 block of North Queen Street.

Officers were sent to the area just before 10:30 p.m. after a caller reported that five shots were fired at the front door of a home at 423 N. Queen St.

Upon arrival, they found one victim on the ground outside 427 N. Queen St., according to police radio transmissions.

That person's condition was not immediately known.

Initial reports indicated there was a second victim, an unconscious male who apparently was dragged across the street and placed in a dark-colored vehicle.

A city police spokesman said late Wednesday that he could not confirm the reports.

The 400 block of North Queen Street, between Lemon and Walnut streets, was closed to traffic as police worked near the center of the block on the east side of the street.
