John A. Kirkpatrick
John A. Kirkpatrick, on Feb. 11, 2013, age 82, of
New Holland, formerly of Broomall. Beloved husband of Lois (nee Fekelman), whom he married in Feb. of 1969. Born in Drexel Hill, he graduated from Haverford High School, went on to graduate from Penn State and receive his Master's Degree from Rutgers Univ. in Food Sciences. He was employed by Campbell Soup Co. for 30 years, before going to DuPont for a couple years and retiring from the PA Dept. of Environmental Protection in 1999. John was a member of the American Chemical Assoc., and a member of the "Soule Kindred," being a descendant of the Mayflower Boat expedition. John and his wife were attending the Trinity Lutheran Church in New Holland and were previously active with the Trinity Lutheran Church in Havertown, where he was on the Church Council, Sunday School teacher and choir member. He was a member of the US Army during the Korean War and was deployed to Germany. Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service on Sat. at 11:00 AM in the Trinity Lutheran Church, 1141 W. Chester Pike, Havertown, PA 19083, where friends may call after 10:00.
