Helen J. Werntz

Helen J. Werntz, 86, ­formerly of Coatesville and Quarryville, died at LGH on Sunday, February 10, 2013 following a brief illness. Born in Valley Township, Chester County, where she lived for over 78 years, she was the daughter of the late George E. and Mary (Bowermaster) Werntz. Helen is survived by a sister, Anna Lowe of Quarryville and ten nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, George, and a sister, Mary Smoker.She worked at the former Cardinal Cottons Sewing factory in Coatesville for over 23 years. In 1996, Helen retired from working in the kitchen at Brandywine Hospital.Helen was a member of Mennonite Mission Church, Coatesville, since 1940.The Funeral will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 11 AM in the Bachman Funeral Home, 7 South Decatur Street, Strasburg, PA. The viewing is from 10 AM until the time of the service. Interment in Paradise Presbyterian Cemetery following the funeral.Please omit flowers.
