Dolores M. Kohlhas, age 84, of Willow Street, formerly of Downingtown, passed away on February 11, 2013 at her home. Born in Philadelphia on March 10, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Elsie (nee Wagner) Meder. Dolores was an alumna of Frankford High School and Ursinus College '49. She was a substitute teacher for the Downingtown Schools in the 1960's and 70's. Dolores was past president of the Downingtown Women's Club and the Pennsylvania Federation of Women's Clubs and a board member for the Independence Hall Preservation Fund. Beloved wife of the late David M. Kohlhas. Survived by her children, Nancy Gatschet and John (Jenifer), both of Philadelphia; daughter-in-law, Susan of Glenmore; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her son, Jeffrey Kohlhas. Relatives and friends are invited to Dolores's Life Celebration Friday, February 15, 2013 from 6-8 PM at Ralston & Bredickas of Downingtown, 107 W. Lancaster Ave. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, February 16, at 11 AM at Bringhurst Funeral Home, 225 Belmont Ave., Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004. Interment West Laurel Hill Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 17, at 4:00 PM at Spring Run Auditorium, Willow Valley.
