VP golfing in cow pasture?
TO THE EDITORS:
I was appalled to read the statement of our vice president about playing golf within a quarter mile of Nickel Mines school and hearing the shots.
I was born and raised in Lancaster County and I know for a fact there is no golf course that close. Maybe he was playing golf in the cow pasture next door or close by, and no one saw him.
It makes us wonder how our president could pick such a man as his vice president to represent him and our country. It seems as though even our president doesn't care that our vice president goes around telling such stories. His staff even said he was playing golf.
We should all go to Washington, D.C., and tar and feather the vice president and run him out of town.
To make a statement like that just to boost his gun-control policy is outrageous.
The families of the area have suffered enough.
