City gallery holding design contest for pair of murals
Hidden Treasures, an antiques and collectibles gallery at 225 N. Prince St., is holding a contest for a pair of murals to cover a fire-blackened wall.
The contest is open to high school and college students. Students are asked to submit designs, in color, on 8-inch-by-11-inch paper. Designs will be judged by customers who come to Hidden Treasures, behind Roburritos, on First Friday, March 1.
The theme of the two murals is "Hidden Treasures." The winning entries will be used as templates for 7¾-foot-by-10¾-foot murals. Winners will receive free, yearlong studio or sale space. Entries must be received by Feb. 23.
