Ticket-fixing district judge

Reaction to a suspended Lancaster district judge Kelly S. Ballentine admitting to fixing her own parking tickets in exchange for a reduction of the most serious charges againts her and dismissals of others:

Mike revere: If she loses her job, which she should, I heard there were openings for dancers at some bar in Columbia.

cuda67: To show that this woman was not given any special treatment, no charges should have been dropped. There should have been no deal.

livin'the717life: What a flippin' joke! One set of rules for us and another set of rules for them. She should be put in jail immediately. I bet she double-parked outside the courthouse on Duke Street when she went inside to sign her "deal," because she's that arrogant.

HeavyBarrel: And we can't forget about her crying rape when things didn't go her way in the bedroom, and the accused being found not guilty.

thisismyshockedface: Oh, when she fired a warning shot from a pistol into the wall, that's a charge in itself. The guy was charged with trespassing; she was real (upset) when that didn't go her way.

Mike Buckerson: She'd be Lancaster's thug judge.

slinadamst: A bunch of Philadelphia traffic court judges are currently under federal indictment in a ticket-fixing scheme. I do not trust anyone associated with our justice system. No one.

Tara Denlinger: So funny, I missed the payment of a parking ticket because I had no money and no job. So, I got my license suspended, and I was caught driving under a suspended license. I went to see that judge and she basically told me what a scumbag I am and that the streets were bad because of people like me. Now I'm just basically laughing, because she did the same thing, and it's worse because she knows the law. LOL.

asmalldog: I don't believe there is any way she won't be disbarred. This should be the end of the road as a practitioner of the law for her.
