Menno Z. Martin, 84, of 105 Lausch Road, Denver, died Thursday, February 7, 2013 at his home after a lengthy ­illness.Born in East Earl, he was the son of the late Frank K. and Mattie (Zimmerman) Martin. He was married 61 years on Dec. 20 to Ada N. (Hoover) Martin.Menno was a member of the Muddy Creek Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference, and a farmer.Surviving in addition to his wife are four sons, Lloyd, married to Mabel (Shirk) Martin of Colby, WI, Alvin, married to Elizabeth (Burkholder) Martin, of Withee, WI, and Harvey Martin and Eugene Martin, both of Denver; five daughters, Lydia Ann, married to Allen Brubaker of Narvon, Arlene, married to Ammon Wenger of Dundee, NY, Ella Mae, married to Noah Brubaker of Thorp, WI, Ruth, married to Lloyd Brubaker of Ephrata, and Martha Martin of Denver; 43 grandchildren; 59 great grandchildren; two ­sisters, Mattie Burkholder of MO and Katie Martin of ­Denver.Preceding him in death are two brothers, John and William Martin; two sisters, Fannie Burkholder and Emma Hoover; a grandson, Henry Wenger; and a great grandson, Wilson Martin.Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 11, at 8:30 a.m. at the late home with further services at 9 a.m. at the Muddy Creek Mennonite Church with the Bishop Titus Martin officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing will be held on Sunday at the late home from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Kindly omit flowers. Arrangements by Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill.
