Michael R. McVey

Michael R. McVey, 69 of 1235 Locust St. Columbia, PA died on Wednesday at his residence after an extended illness. Born in Columbia he was the son of the late Roland "Denny" and Emily Smaling McVey. Mike retired from the Inspection Department of Wyeth Labs in Marietta after 23 years of service. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society. He was a Graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School. Surviving is his Sister: Suzanne McVey with whom he resided and his beloved dog Ben. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Holy Trinity Catholic Church 4th & Cherry Streets Columbia, PA on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 10:00AM with the Very Rev. Fr. Kenneth Lawrence as Celebrant. Final Commendation and Farewell will be Private in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery. The Family requests that flowers be omitted. Memorial Contributions in Mike's memory may be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 409 Cherry St., Columbia, PA 17512 or to the Humane League of Lancaster Co., 2195 Lincoln Hwy East, Lancaster, PA 17602.
