Cartoon lampooning Clinton is wrong
TO NEW ERA EDITORS:
The right-wing noise machine, as amplified by the New Era cartoon from Michael Ramirez, is already cranking up for the 2016 election. The message is the same as for 2008 and 2012, except for a name change. Now it's "if Hillary said it, it must be wrong.''
The Obama administration stuck too long with a false story about the Benghazi murders with the intent of discrediting the jerk who made an inflammatory video. In the hearings about Benghazi, Hillary Clinton tried to focus on the administration's security failures, saying with four people dead, "What difference does it make?" that interim story was wrong.
The cartoon shows her perched on a tombstone, legs crossed saying "What difference does it make ... ?'' as if she meant that the deaths did not matter. The cartoon lies.
It could be worse. We could be listening to President Romney taking credit for the January jump in housing starts, employment numbers, corporate earnings and the stock market.
