J. Roger Lawrence
J. Roger Lawrence, 94, of Lancaster, PA, died and was ushered into the presence of his Savior on Monday, February 4, 2013 at Calvary Fellowship Homes in Lancaster, PA. He was born in Lancaster, PA, the son of the late George F. and Stella B. (Neff) Lawrence. Mr. Lawrence retired from the service department of Hamilton Watch Company of Lancaster where he worked for 44 years. He was a member of Calvary Church. He enjoyed golf and was a sports enthusiast. He served in the US Air Force during WWII, having attained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. Roger is survived by his wife of 71 years, Jeanne E. (Heisey) Lawrence; his sons, Don J. married to Joyce Lawrence of Oakhurst, CA, and Barry A. married to Diane Lawrence of Rochester, NY; 4 Grandchildren and 10 Great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Viola McCaslin.FUNERAL SERVICES will be held Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Calvary Fellowship Homes, upstairs Fellowship Hall, 502 Elizabeth Drive, Lancaster, PA 17601. There will be no public viewing; however, the family will receive friends at Calvary Fellowship Homes ½ hour prior to the service. Private burial will be in Mellingers Mennonite Cemetery.
