Arline M. Bucks

Arline M. Bucks, 85, of Lititz, formerly of Lancaster, died February 5, 2013 in United Zion Retirement Community, Lititz. She was the widow of Donald R. Bucks, who died October 28, 2000. Born in Kutztown, she was a daughter of the late Clarence C. and Alma C. (Heinly) Gaby. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Rohrerstown, Lancaster Co., and a former member of Christ (DeLong) United Church of Christ, Bowers. Mrs. Bucks was a 1949 graduate of Kutztown University. She was employed as a Librarian by Hempfield High School, Landisville, Lancaster Co., from 1976 until her retirement in 1989. Prior to that, she was employed as a Librarian by the former Hegins Township High School, now Tri- ­Valley High School, Hegins, Schuylkill Co.Survivors: Daughter, Mary C. (Bucks), wife of Christopher F. Elbert, Lancaster; sons, Rodney R., husband of Terisa M. (Andrews) Bucks, Webster, NY, and David D. Bucks, Lancaster; sister, Catherine J. (Gaby), wife of Richard L. Kuhns, Sr., Kutztown; grandchildren, Gregory W., husband of Megan (Criswell) Bucks, Geoffrey S., husband of Stephanie (Furrer) Bucks, and Megan E. Elbert.Services: Funeral services will be held Friday, February 8, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Christ (DeLong) United Church of Christ, 63 Old Bowers Road, Bowers, with Reverend Roger M. Ulrich officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery of Bowers. Friends may call Friday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. in the church.
