Robert L. Vanaman, 85, of Cottontown, TN, formerly of Millersville, died on Monday, February 4, 2013 at home. He was the husband of the late Pauline (Stoy) Vanaman, who died in 2011.Bob was a retired electrician after fifty years of service at Armstrong World Industries. In his lifetime, he worked as a Police Officer for Millersville Borough, a Pennsylvania State Constable and a Deputy Sheriff for the County of Lancaster. He volunteered with the former Millersville Fire Department as captain of the fire police. Bob was also a member of the Millersville Lions Club, Loyal Order of Moose and the Elks.Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Robert M. and Thelma E. (Rogers) ­Vanaman.Surviving are four children, Elise M. married to Howard F. Wright, of White House, TN, Robert M. married to Kelly R. Vanaman, of Frisco, TX, Paul K. Vanaman, of Rochester, NY and Eric T. married to Gail K. Vanaman, of Portland, TN; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.Funeral Services will be at held the Andrew T. Scheid Funeral Home, 320 Blue Rock Road, Route 999, Millersville, PA 17551 on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 3 PM (Viewing Thursday 7-9 PM and Friday 2-3 PM).
