Michael R. Mellinger

Michael R. Mellinger, 55, of Lakeview Road, Kirkwood, entered into rest at his home on Sunday, February 3, 2013. Born in Lancaster, he was a son of the late Robert B. Mellinger. He is survived by his mother, Harriet L. (Shumate) Mellinger of Kirkwood.Michael enjoyed antiqu-ing, photography and spending time with his family. He was fond of his two cats, Lilly and Stinky.In addition to his mother, Michael is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Barker of Mount Joy and Jill Costarella of Landisville; a granddaughter, Anna Barker; three sisters: Barbara, wife of Larry Whyte of Kirkwood; Patricia, wife of Stanley Herr of Quarryville; and Catherine, wife of Donald Kirsch of Manheim. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by a sister, Lorraine Lowe.A service celebrating Michael?s life will take place at Dewald Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 227 West Fourth St., Quarryville on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Tom Lefever officiating.
