Curtis B. Aspril

Curtis B. Aspril, 80, of Mountville was called to be with his Lord and Savior unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 30, 2013. He was the husband of F. Jean (Graybill) Aspril, with whom he celebrated sixty years on January 24th. Born November 27, 1932 in Quarryville, he was the son of the late Curtis Brachard Aspril, Sr. and the late Laura Catherine (Bruce) Harkom. He held a B.S. and a Master's of Education in Biology from Millersville University; he also studied at Temple University, Penn State and Western Maryland. Mr. Aspril taught for 35 years, teaching Biology at Penn Manor and Hempfield, where he was head of the Science Department for 13 years. He also worked at Brubaker Consulting Services for 20 years. He was dedicated to his church community at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, Lancaster. He was a former member of the Millersville Jaycees, Mountville Lions Club, Rotary (Wrightsville) and was a New Era Baseball Commissioner. His hobbies included golf, watching the Phillies, playing Bridge, traveling, reading and

boating. He loved the mountains. He valued his family and was an exceptional husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. His focus in life was perfectly clear to all who knew him: Faith and Family. He will be deeply missed by his entire family.Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Cathy J. (Aspril) Regan married to David M., of Lancaster, Jon C. married to Donna L. (Shank) Aspril, of Lancaster and Cindy J. (Aspril) Brubaker married to Sen. Michael W. Brubaker, of Lititz; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one brother, Robert N. married to Jane Aspril, of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Ryan C. Brubaker and Kate M. Regan.A Celebration of Life Service

will be held at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 3131 Columbia Avenue, Lancaster, PA on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 11AM (Visitation 10-11AM) with the Rev. Burton J. Parry officiating.
