Time to change our priorities
TO THE EDITORS:
Are celebrities, athletes and government officials so much better than the rest of us? Every time something happens to them, the news media make a big fuss over it. But, if something happens to any of us so-called plain Janes or Joes, there is hardly a whimper.
Isn't there something in the preamble to the Constitution that says "all men are created equal?'' I guess our Founding Fathers didn't know what they were doing.
Maybe we should scrap the whole Constitution and start all over again so it can satisfy each others individual needs. Seems like we are operating on a lot of double standards.
Let's start to re-evaluate our priorities before it is too late.
