Robinson to speak to local nonprofits
Gerald Robinson, chairman of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, will be the guest speaker at a luncheon for community nonprofit organizations Wednesday.
The event is hosted by the Lancaster city Human Relations Commission, which enforces the city ban on discrimination in housing and in the workplace based on race, religion, color, ancestry, sexual orientation, marital status, national origin, sex, age, disability or other factors.
City Mayor Rick Gray and City Council and Human Relations Commission members will attend to share ideas to promote human rights. Input from representatives of other organizations is sought.
The luncheon, at the Ware Center, 42 N. Prince St., is an informal drop-in, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. To reserve space, send an email message to LCityHRC@gmail.com.
