"Sandi" Nagle CooperSandra J. "Sandi" Nagle Cooper, 63, of Marietta, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Lancaster General Hospital after a brief illness.Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late William E. Nagle, Sr. and the late Charlotte Virginia "Ginny" Hodgson Nagle. She was retired from Armstrong World Industries after 35+ years. Sandi was a member of the American Legion Post #809 Ladies Auxiliary, Maytown and the Order of the Eastern Star, Donegal Chapter 422, Mount Joy. She enjoyed gardening, taking care of her pond and trips to Long Beach Island, NJ for crabbing and fishing. Sandi was an entrepreneur and jack-of-all-trades. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends, her dog Roxy, and doing things for others. She is survived by her daughter, Stacy L. Carpenter Nagle Nethery (Robert B., Jr.) of Marietta; a granddaughter, Erika J. Nagle of Marietta; two brothers, William E. Nagle, Jr. and James J. Nagle (Roberta), both of Columbia; a sister, Pat A. Nagle of West Manchester. She was preceded in death by her fiancé William H. Carpenter, Jr., who died in 1965.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Sandi?s Life Celebration Service at Smedley Funeral Home, 29 N. Gay St., Marietta on Saturday, February 9th at 11:30am, with Pastor Jay M. Frey officiating. A Viewing will be held at Smedley?s on Friday, February 8th from 6:00-8:00pm. There will be no viewing on Saturday, however the family will receive friends from 10:30am until time of service. Interment will be private.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Greys and Strays, LLC, 2686 S. Pine Grove St., Jonestown, PA 17038.
