Lena H. (Brubaker) Shirk, 93, of Denver, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at her home.She was born in Hinkletown to the late John E. and Maria (Horning) Brubaker and was the wife of the late Amos S. Shirk, who passed away 32 years ago.Lena was a member of Martindale Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.She is survived by 12 children, Daniel, husband of Loretta (Martin) Shirk of Denver, John, husband of Lydia (Zimmerman) Shirk of Versailles, MO, Mary, wife of Harvey Martin of Antwerp, NY, Annie, wife of Aaron Sensenig of Versailles, MO, Ivan, husband of Mary (Newswanger) Shirk of Narvon, Eli, husband of Lydia (Newswanger) Shirk of Talmage, Lizzie Shirk, wife of the late Amos Jr. of Denver, Isaac, husband of Lydia (Zeiset) Shirk of Leola, Paul, husband of Francis (Martin) Shirk of Cayuga, NY, Lena, wife of Paul Martin of Ephrata, Emma, wife of Raymond Martin of Narvon, Luke, husband of Betty (Martin) Shirk of Quarryville; 65 grandchildren; 135 great grandchildren; and a brother, Harvey H. Brubaker of Ephrata.In addition to her husband and parents, Lena was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Ivan H., Benjamin, and Allen Brubaker; and a sister, Mary Martin.A viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 6 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm, at the Ivan and Mary Shirk residence, 2247 Little Hill Rd., Narvon. Funeral services will be held at 9:30am on Thursday, from the Martindale Old Order Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference, 905 Martindale Rd., Martindale.
