DEPLOYED GRADUATIONS HONORS
n Air Force Airman Nevin L. Aungst was deployed to South Korea after graduating from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, on Oct. 19, and Wichita Falls Air Force Tech School in Texas on Dec. 20.
A 2009 graduate of Solanco High School, he is the son of Tina L. McDonald of Holtwood and Joel A. Aungst of Peach Bottom.
n Coast Guard Fireman's Apprentice Corbin Keiser graduated with the Lima 187 class from the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center in Cape May, N.J., on Jan. 4., receiving his certificate from his sister, Ensign Courtney Keiser, who is assigned to the USS Vella Gulf CG72, stationed in Norfolk, Va.
Keiser reported for duty on the U.S. Coast Guard cutter Campbell WMEC 909, stationed in Portsmouth, N.H., on Jan. 11 and will be deployed on his first cruise in mid-March north to the North Atlantic coastline.
He is the son of Darryl and Abby Keiser of New Holland.
n Four local residents who are cadets at Virginia Military Institute marched in this year's presidential Inaugural Parade on Jan. 21.
They are: Ray A. Lopez of Lancaster, the son of Juanita Dueno and Raymond U. Lopez; Sean P. Noll of Lancaster, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gregory G. Noll; Stephen P. Shenk of Lancaster, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry A. Shenk; and Harry T. Zechman IV of Lancaster, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry T. Zechman III.
