Zetterberg hat trick leads Wings over Blues ASSOCIATED PRESS,
Henrik Zetterberg scored three goals, and his second assist of the game set up Pavel Datsyuk's tiebreaking goal at 9:38 of third period to help the Detroit Red Wings beat St. Louis 5-3 on Friday night.
Zetterberg scored the first two goals and set up Jonathan Ericsson's tying goal early in the third period. Detroit's captain missed practice on Thursday because he wasn't feeling well, but he was at the top of his game Friday.
St. Louis goalie Jaroslav Halak left the game shortly after Zetterberg's second goal midway through the first period and was replaced by Brian Elliott. It wasn't clear whether Halak was hurt or was pulled by coach Ken Hitchcock.
Hurricanes 1, Senators 0: Dan Ellis made 33 saves for his first shutout in more than two years and Eric Staal scored to lead Carolina over Ottawa.
Ellis, making only his second start of the season in place of Cam Ward, earned his 13th career shutout and first since Nov. 9, 2010, against Toronto while he was with Tampa Bay.
Lightning 8, Jets 3: Cory Conacher had two goals and an assist to lead Tampa Bay past Winnipeg.
Tampa Bay also got goals from Steven Stamkos, Vincent Lecavalier, Nate Thompson, Teddy Purcell, Ryan Malone and Benoit Pouliot. Stamkos and Lecavalier both added two assists.
Stars 4, Coyotes 3: Jaromir Jagr and Jamie Benn scored in a shootout to lift Dallas.
Antoine Roussel scored in his NHL debut, rookie defenseman Brenden Dillon had his first career goal, and Michael Ryder also scored as Dallas snapped a four-game losing streak.
Thornton out with concussion: The Boston Bruins say forward Shawn Thornton will miss 7-10 days with a concussion.
Thornton was injured in the first period of Thursday night's game against Buffalo when he fought with Sabres forward John Scott. He did not return.
