Leonard Earl Weaver
Leonard Earl Weaver, 60, of Myerstown, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Lancaster General Hospital. He was the husband of Rose M. Dettwiler. They had celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. Born in Norfolk, VA on March 15, 1952 he was the son of Oliver K. and Alverda M. Yoder Weaver. He was a member of Harmony Christian Fellowship Church, Myerstown. Leonard was a self employed mechanic and he and Rose fostered 30 children during his lifetime.In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons Jonathan E. Weaver and wife Naomi of Wendell, ID, David O. Weaver and wife Joy of Listowel, ON and Joel L. Weaver of English, IN; daughters Hannah R. Weaver of Honduras CA and Amanda M. Weaver of Myerstown; brothers Kenneth E. Weaver and wife Kathy of Intercourse, PA, Homer L. Weaver and wife Barbara of Clair MI, W. Wayne Weaver and wife Marie of Kokomo MS, James L. Weaver and wife Mary Susan of Stoystown, John D. Weaver and wife Ruth of Delta, CO, Paul J. Weaver and wife Karen of Ovid, NY and Delbert R. Weaver and wife Stella of Delta, CO; sisters Marie A. Weaver of Stoystown, S. Grace Weaver of Lebanon, Judith E. wife of Warren Kurtz of Hillsdale, M. Ellen Yannayon of Belvidere, TN, Esther F. wife of James Halteman of Lebanon, Martha J. wife of Nathan Halteman of Lebanon, and Rachel F. wife of Steve Johnson of Palmyra; grandchildren Larry E., Carl E., Candice M., Lisa R., Kalinda J., Tyrell D. and Jodi L. Weaver. He was preceded in death by his parents Oliver K. and Alverda M. (Yoder) Weaver, a son James M. Weaver and brother-in-law James YannayonFuneral service will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at 10 AM at the Swatara Mennonite Church, 10 Swatara Rd., Myerstown.
