Russell, 75, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the Essa Flory Hospice Inpatient Center, Lancaster with his daughter by his side. He

and his wife, Jane (Darling) Russell celebrated 52 years of marriage on December 16, 2012.Born May 15, 1937 in Lancaster (and raised in Columbia, PA), he was the son of the late Charles A. and Myra (Harner) Russell.Mr. Russell was a graduate of Columbia High School and Franklin & Marshall College. He was employed by Farmers Trust Company and retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania after 25 years of service as a Deputy Director of PHEAA. He loved spending time with his family, watching sports as well as birdwatching.In addition to his wife, he will be lovingly missed by five daughters, Susan, wife of Daniel Klinger, of Elizabethtown, Sarah, wife of Daniel Reich, of Bainbridge, Elizabeth, wife of Keith Bert, of Maytown, Jennifer, wife of Andrew Schmalhofer, of Washington Boro, Jill, wife of Ali Naqvi, of Maytown; 15 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and a step-sister, Melissa, wife of Kurt Wagemann, of Bel Air, MD. He was preceded in death by a son, David Charles Russell; his stepmother, Isabel P. Russell and stepbrother, Lex P. Russell.
